And, up next I have day three of OMD challenge - PURPLE:
I used Essence Thelma as a base, and then I used Catrice Heavy metallilac and Essence The one and only for the stripes.I'm not really impressed with this manicure, I wished it'd turned out better.
And Thelma on its own:
Two coats, no top coat. Awesome vampy purple with amazing application.
What do you think?

OMD challenge day2 - Blue
The second day the theme was blue, and here's my interpretation:
For the base I used Alessandro 265, and for the dots I used three polishes - Essence Fall for me, Essence Forever mine and OPI No room for the blues. I actually intendet to do all nails like the pinky is, but when I came to this stage I liked it so much I stoped. I actually love this mani. I don't know if I'd like ti as much if I'd do whole nails.
And Alessandro 265 by itself:

OMD Challenge day1 - PINK
The theme for day one is pink. And here is what I did:
I used China glaze Something sweet as a base and then I sponged it with Catrice Princess for a day and Essence Glittering daylight. I really like this manicure and it is so easy to do. The only downside is the cleanup, but I put hand cream on my cutticles before sponging and I didn't have that many problems.
And here is China glaze Something sweet on its own:
It's one of my all time fav polishes, and I've used almost half of it already(and that says a lot).
What do you think? Do you like it?

My Ruby Kisses collection
Today I'm going to show you the few polishes I have from brand called Ruby kisses.
First up is Tangerine. I wasn't really sure I like this polish or not, but when I put it on I knew I have to keep it. It's a bright orange jelly and it looks soo squishy on my nails! On the picture I have three coats and you can still see my nail line, no top coat. Application wasn't problematic and drying time was fast.
Next, it's "Look at me" purple. I already showed it to you here. On the picture there are two coats, no top coat. As you can see it dries matte and it's sooo bright IRL, I couldn't capture it on camera.
Then we have Ruby slippers. The most amazing polish from Ruby kisses I own and know for. I really like it. Red jelly base packed with red and silver glitter. Two coat were needed and application was flawless. No top coat.
Up next, we have Baby blue. I'd say this is only ment for layering. This are bright blue glitters in clear base. I have one coat on on the first picture, so you can se how dense the glitters are, and on the second picture I have four coats. It dries really quickly.
Another glitter, Crazy night out, is next. Big and small purple glitters and smal silver ones in clear base. First picture is one coat, and second one three. This one is also intendet to layer it over some other polish.
Last but not least, we have Cast a spell, from HD line. Another beautiful polish! Amazing rich purple with pink shimmer. A little runny, but nothing I couldn't handle. Brush strokes might be visible if you are not careful. It was PITA to photograph, so I did my best. It's not so pink IRL.
All in all, I like Ruby kisses polishes. Are there any I'm missing out?

My Misslyn collection
Here are all of the polishes I own from Misslyn:
From L-R:
586 Aquarium, 726 Dragonfly, 85 Royal blue, 59 Sparkling orange, 47 Bright love
And swatches:
I'm a fan of Misslyn polishes, and I have few polishes still on my wishlist. I want the rest from Velvet diamond collection and all from the new Velvet diamond - Sugar baby collection. I haven't payed attention to their standard range so far, so if you have any suggestions, do let me know =)
From L-R:
586 Aquarium, 726 Dragonfly, 85 Royal blue, 59 Sparkling orange, 47 Bright love
And swatches:
- Aquarium is a mini polish, it contains only 4ml/0.13 fl.oz. The colours is beautiful, but not unique. I have three coats on the picture. It applied a bit streaky, but it was manageable.
- Dragonfly from Peacock LE. This one is supposed to be a layering duochrome polish. It really is very sheer, on the picture there are three coats, but I could use fourth. I like this polish so much! It shifts from blue to pink/purple. It's so nice. It also looks good layered over some other colours.
- Royal blue from their Velvet diamond - Object of desire collection. I've already talked about it here. On the picture there are two coats, no top coat. I wore it at least three times already - and that says a lot, since I have so many polishes.
- Sparkling orange, also from Velvet diamond - Object of desire collection. Again, two coats, no top coat. Another beauty <3 It's orange with golden shimmer, and it is breath taking! I wore it for 5days and almost no tip wear. The picture is taken with flash, I wanted to show you how sparkly it is.
- Bright love, another beauty from Velvet diamond - Object of desire collection. This one I like the least from the three I have. But it is still amazingly beautiful! Do you see that sparkle? It kind of reminds me of rust, but in a good way.

Long time no see ;)
Huh, I haven't been here for so long now. There was so much going on in my life, I didn't even think about comptuer - and to be honest my nails were suffering too =/ Finally, here's summer and I have more time to do my nails and to write blog posts. I've been thinking on whys and hows and I've decided a few things I will write down for my own reference mostly:
- I'll take a picture of what I'm wearing every day now. Why? Because I have so many clothes(and my wardrobe is too small) and need to see what I actually wear and what I don't. This way I'll be able to get rid of the ones I don't use and then I can get new ones ;)
- I need to get into nail art again. I used to always have some sort of nail art on my nails and now I've became lazy. And I really want to get back into the game as far as my nail art skills are concerned.
- I need-need-need to swatch my polishes. I have so many unused it's not even funny anymore =/ So, I'm on a no-buy until I swatch all of the polishes I already own. It's a must!!
- If I don't really love a polish - I don't need it! There are a few exceptions(polishes that are good for konad for example), but most of the time this is the rule.
-After my no-buy is ower, I need to remember what works for me and what doesn't. I have so many polishes that I love in the bottle but hate it on my nails. So, no more dark colours with that amazing shimmer! And no more "oh-this-is-a-LE-I-need-it" polishes. And absolutely no more plain old cremes I already have a ton of!
So this is it for now. I hope I'll be able to go by these rules =) We'll see how succesfull I'll be ;)
Until next time!

Swatches & comparisson: Essence Girls on tour LE polishes
I recently saw this LE in our store and I got all 4 polishes.
This is what Essence says about them:
Ready for take off? Absolutely! With these four trendy and long-lasting nail polish colors. Rosé, purple, pink and green add a touch of color on your nails and thanks to their practical size, they’re perfect when you’re on tour with the girls.
And here's what I think of them:
I compared it to the following:
Catrice Sweets for my sweets(pointer), Essie Knockout pout(middle), Sally Hansen Countess creme(ring) and Sally Hansen Prism frost(pinky)
Catrice is similar, but lighter, Essie is way brighter, Countess creme is more muted and darker and Prism frost is actually pretty close. It's a tad darker.
I found these ones similar:
Manhattan 57Q(pointer), which is more pink, but the shimmer is almost the same, Essence Most wanted(middle), that is way lighter, Color club Ultra violet(ring finger), that is actually completelly different in the colour and the shimmer, and Sally Hansen Vibe creme(pinky), that is close, but more vibrant.
The colour is actually very similar to Essence Yummy gummy(from Jelly baby LE), but that one is a jelly and Hop on, hop off! is a creme. I was looking and I couldn't find any other polish similar to this one in my stash.
This are two coats, no top coat. When I was applying this polish I was suprised, but not in a nice way. I love the colour and application, but when I was polishing a bristle from the brush came off and stuck to my nail. I've never expirienced anything like that before! I hope it was just this one =/ Other than that, everything was fine. The polish goes on smoothly and 1thicker coat could be enough, but I did two thinner. It's a bit lighter in the bottle than on the nails, but the colour is still nice, a darker turquoise - green creme.
When I saw it in store I was sure, I have a colour at home that's the same. Guess what? I was wrong! The closest two I have are Sinful colours Rise and shine and Essence Green grass.
Green grass(on my ring finger) is darker and more muted, so they aren't all that close. Rise and shine(on my point finger) is lighter and it has shimmer. I'm glad I got this one, since I don't have anything like it.
All in all, these dry extremely fast, have an amazing formula and normal brush. I was surprised, since they are quite unique - they are similar to some of the polishes I have, but no dupes here. If you ask me, I'd say get them if you can! =)

Ruby kisses "Look at me" purple and fun with striping tape
This is such an amazing polish! It's bright and it totally freaked out my camera, this is the closest I was able to get to true colour. It dries matte and if you apply top coat it darkens a bit. The application is easy and this are two coats on the picture.
And I had to add something. A while ago a girl from MUA posted her mani with striping tape and texture polish, and I knew I'll try it someday. And this was the day ;)
I used Misslyn Royal blue on top and I helped myself with striping tape. I like it, but it wasn't what I expected it to be. Maybe the colours were the problem? Anyway, I will try this again with some other colour under the texture and we'll see how I'll like that. But it is fun mani, I have to admit! What do you think?

Sally Hansen Iced cream matte
I got this polish long time ago from a friend. It's a very light blue polish with shimmer. It dries matte. Application was on the difficult side, some brush strokes and it did need a rather long time to dry. But, the colour is gorgeous! I have four coats on the pictures, three would have been enough if I was carefull with the application. I'm not wearing top coat on the pictures. Maybe I'd get better results with spongin the colour. I'll have to try it next time. =)

Catrice - I scream: Ice cream and some nail art
This one is from Candy shock LE, and it's beautiful. See for yourself:
It actually reminds me of ice cream, even tho I've never seen an actual ice cream in this colour =) In the bottle you can see pink shimmer, that is not really visible on the nail, but I love this polish anyway. I don't know what's with me and this kind of colour, but I love almost every polish I have similar to this. The application was a bit harder, you have to be careful. This are three coats, but two would also be enough, I was clumsy.
I haven't done nail art in a while, so I didn't really have a lot of ideas. I decided to search online for some inspiration. I found this post from Nail by Kayla Shevonne and I decided to recreate it in my own version, since I liked hers so much.
I love it! Unfortunately my top coat draged the black a bit, but it's not that bad IRL, so it doesn't bother me =) What do you think?
And here's what I used:
Poshe Basecoat, Essence Black is back, Catrice I scream: Ice cream, China glaze Shocking pink(neon), Essence Studio nails Better then gel nails top sealer high gloss, dotting tools
Because of this manicure I've decided I need to do more nail art. I've already forgotten how fun it is and how much I love it!

Misslyn - Royal Blue
Uh, I haven't been here for a long time. But I have a good reason - I was preparing for the most importaint exam in my life. Well, it's equaly importaint to all the others, but it is the only one I don't have a clue about and it is my last one. Also, I was organizing my polish collection, because I hated that it was so unorganized. Now, everything is where it should be and everything is written down. I will show that to you soon=)
But first, the most amazing polish I've seen in a while - Misslyn Royal blue from their Velvet diamond LE.
Two coats, no top coat. Can you see, how beautiful it is? I can't stop staring at my nails! This is just so beautiful. This is my first textured polish, and I adore it!! =) I think this is one of the polishes I'll wear as long as I'll be able(so, as long as it'll look at least decent, with no major chippings or tip wear). I hope it'll last long. Ah, my beauty <3
I'm also thinking of getting another one from this collection. This is the display:
Do you have any suggestions?

MaxFactor - Cloudy blue
I'm presenting you MaxFactor Max Effect nail polish in Cloudy blue. This polish was such a dissapointment for me. In the bottle it looks gorgeous dark blue, but on the nail...well, it's completelly different story. The first thing I hated, was the application. I've had so many problems. It's extremely sheer, so at least three coats are needed. Second, when you apply your second or third coat, you get bald spots. Also, the colour of this one is waaaay too dark for me. It's almost black, that glows blue. I could almost say it's black with blue shimmer. I know many of people likes this, but I'm not one of them.
The second picture was taken with flash to see the shimmer better.
And the brush:
What do you think? Do you like it?
