OMD challenge day3 - Purple

And, up next I have day three of OMD challenge - PURPLE:

I used Essence Thelma as a  base, and then I used Catrice Heavy metallilac and Essence The one and only for the stripes.I'm not really impressed with this manicure, I wished it'd turned out better.
And Thelma on its own:

Two coats, no top coat. Awesome vampy purple with amazing application.

OMD challenge day2 - Blue

 

The second day the theme was blue, and here's my interpretation:

For the base I used Alessandro 265, and for the dots I used three polishes - Essence Fall for me, Essence Forever mine and OPI No room for the blues. I actually intendet to do all nails like the pinky is, but when I came to this stage I liked it so much I stoped. I actually love this mani. I don't know if I'd like ti as much if I'd do whole nails.

OMD Challenge day1 - PINK

The theme for day one is pink. And here is what I did:

I used China glaze Something sweet as a base and then I sponged it with Catrice Princess for a day and Essence Glittering daylight. I really like this manicure and it is so easy to do. The only downside is the cleanup, but I put hand cream on my cutticles before sponging and I didn't have that many problems.
And here is China glaze Something sweet on its own:

It's one of my all time fav polishes, and I've used almost half of it already(and that says a lot).

Once upon a time nail art challenge - THE PRINCESS

For the day 8, the theme was The princess. I was always a fan of princesses. Unfortunatelly, I didn't have much time to do this manicure. I've had tons of ideas of what I could do, if I had the time. But I had to do something quick and simple. Here it is:

This is my first try on nail art transfer foil, and to be honest, it didn't turn out all that great. I would love this, if my take on the foil would be okay. I don't know what I did wrong, but I know, I'll have to try this again in the future, maybe I'll have more luck =) As you can see, I used Essence transfer foil from Nails in style LE. on the other fingers I did jelly sandwich. I didn't like it as much on the nails as I like it on the pictures.

I know I'm late. I had the most importaint exam yesterday, and I had to learn. It's my last exam, and it's really, really, really hard. It was physics and that's something I'm not good at. Anyway, I painted my nails for the challenge, but I just didn't have time to post, so today I'll post the last three manicure for OUAT challenge.

For the day 7 the challenge was Mirror, mirror on the wall. Here's my mani:

 

I wanted to re-create a mirror on my nails. I liked this mani, I think I'll try to do something like this with some other colours as well.

Once upon a time nail art challenge - MAGIC COMES WITH A PRICE

Skittles

I created this mani for Sincerely Stephanie's skittles nail art contest. I was thinking a lot about what to do and in the end I decided to do something in nude and black, because I just love how this two colours go together =) And then I remembered gold. It should also have some gold in it! So, here's my creation:

 

Yep, I did all ten nails differently. I have to say I soooo love black-nude combo, I'm sure I'll wear it in any other possible way in the future. <3 And the gold goes perfect with this! All of the designs are freehanded, with a little help of dotting tool, tape and nail art brushes.

Once upon a time nail art challenge - TRUE LOVE'S KISS

The fifth theme in this challenge is True love's kiss. I represented it this way:

 

I wanted to recreate feelings of the kiss, you know, butterflies, fireworks, sparkling stars,... Unfortunatelly stamping isn't my best feature, since I don't do it so often(I'll work and learn to be better). But in the end I like it how it turned out. What do you think?

Once Upon A Time nail art challenge - FAVOURITE MALE CHARACTER

Today's theme is Favourite male character. And I chose Henry Mills. Here's my creation:

 

If you haven't guess, I tried to recreat "Unce upon a time" book, the book that told Henry everything =) On my little finger are the last pages of the book, that have been torn out and on my thumb is the cover of the book:

Once Upon A Time Nail Art Challenge - FAVOURITE FEMALE CHARACTER

The third theme for Once upon a time nail art challenge is Favourite female character. My pick is Ruby/The red riding hood. I've always liked her in the series, the way they dressed her and how she always wore something red. I loved her make up and since I'm a BIG fairytale fan, I was really impressed by the twist they gave to the story of Red riding hood. So, here's my inspiration:

Kelsie's nail files nail art contest

Kelsie from Kelsie's nail files is having a 1 year Blogiversary contest. I've decided to join it. The challenge was to be inspired by something from her "Nail Inspiration" pinterest board. Here's what was my inspiration:

Why? Well, I like the black&white simplicity of the first one, and I love the colours of the second one. I also thought joining these two into one manicure should look great! And here's what I came up with:

 

I know this doesn't look exactly like the photos above, but if you ask me, that's the point of inspiration. I took what I liked and translate it into my nails =)

Once Upon A Time Nail Art Challenge - FAVOURITE VILLAIN

The second theme of Once upon a time was Favourite villain. I went with Regina Mills/Evil queen. When I think of her, I always imagine her in black and red. Those are just her colours if you ask me. And this is my take on the Evil queen:

 

Black - red water marble. With red rhinestones.
First off, let me appologize for the clean up. This is the best I was able to do =/ I can tell you, I've had a lot of problems with this manicure, because black was to dominant and everything was too dark. So I painted my nails all red and did a water marble with clear and black polish. And it came out this way. I'm pleased with how it turned out, especially for my first water marble =)

Once Upon A Time Nail Art Challenge - STORYBROOKE/ENCHANTED FOREST

I've decided to join on a nail art contest hosted by Taya. First of, because I love doing nail art, and I'm always looking for some interesting themes and second, because I really like Once upon a time. I'm a little late to the game, I saw the challenge a little late, but Taya said I could join in(Thank you!).

 

 

First challenge is called Storybrooke/Enchanted forest. Here's what I did:

My idea was to represent the difference between the Enchanted forest and Storybrook forest. So basically, difference between fairytale forest and real live forest =) For Enchanted forest my inspiration was the challenge photography, so blue, dark, mystique,... you get the idea. And for Storybrook forest I've imagined something green, brighter, normal, etc. =)
Here are the polishes I used:

2 coats of China glaze Blue year's eve(all fingers except ring)
2 coats of OPI Jade is the new black(ring finger)
OPI Green-wich village sponged on ring finger
